Implementing Decision No 2434/QĐ-UBND, dated 06/7/2017 of Quang Binh People's Committee approving the outline, tasks and estimasted costs for reviewing and adjusting of functional forest plan in Quang Binh province for period of 2016-2025 with orientation to 2030, the Provincial People's Committee assignsed this task to the provincial DARD, which was responsible for coordinating with the People's Committees of the communes that have forests and forest land, the DoNREs of the districts and the forest owners of the group II implemented with the consultant unit - Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment, Vietnam National University of Forestry.
On 19/03/2018, the consultant unit has sent 5 experts to provide technical assistance to the review team in the field. On 30/03/2018, the delegation has reviewed three districts, towns and cities with 46 communes, towns and 05 forest owners group II; The review process was strictly implemented in each commune and based on the results of forest inventory of Quang Binh until 31/12/2017, the planning boundary for 3 types of forest accorded to Decision 2410/QDUB, maps of land allocation and land use planning towards 2020 by Department of Natural Resources and Environment, high quality satellite images taken in the nearest time.

Non-planning objects include non-forest land was inventoried in 2016 as land used for other purposes: residential land, water surface, roads, farmland… and in the plan for forest areas, especially natural forests, adjacent to the boundaries of 3 types of forest according to Decision 2410/QDUB, these areas were inventoried in 2016 for non-planning areas of forestry.
It is expected that the fieldwork will be completed before 30/4/2018, the data will be combined and compiled into maps for all levels from communes, districts to province and forest owner group II forest before submitting to competent authorities for appraisal and approval.
