The conference on the acceptance of mission: Additional identifying the forest area in watershed and Mapping the status of payment for forest environment services

Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment is consulting unit of the mission:“Additional identifying the forest area in watershed and Mapping the status of payment for forest environment services”. Up to now, the consulting unit has completed all contents of the mission. On 06/12/2017, at Vietnam Forest Protection and Development Fund, the conference on the mission:“Additional identifying the forest area in watershed and Mapping the status of payment for forest environment services” was held

At 14h30, December 6th, 2017, at the 3rd floor of A3 Building, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, No. 10 Nguyen Cong Hoan, Ha Noi, the Vietnam Forest Protection and Development Fund held the conference on the Acceptance of mission:“Additional identifying the forest area in watershed and Mapping the status of payment for forest environment services”

At the conference, representative of consulting unit, Mr. Le Sy Doanh represented briefly about objectives, contents, and results of the project.

After presenting of consulting unit about the project results, the participants gave comments and suggestions to improve the outcome of the mission:
  • A report of evidence supplement for The Circular No. 22/2017/TT-BNNPTNT dated 15/11/2017, reviewing and adjusting for spelling and typing errors.
  • The adjusted forest status and watershed maps (19 watersheds) and newly watersheds (8 watersheds) need to be completed and transferred.
  • The payment for forest environment services status maps need more supplements about boundaries and administrative names; interprovincial and provincial watershed boundaries; the legend needs to add the area of each level. The provinces, regions and nation maps will be digitalized (available for use in MapInfo software)…
  • Atlas about the status of the payment for forest environmental services will be printed on A3 paper size for provinces, regions, and nation.
At the end of the conference, all participants approved the results of the implementation of the missionand agreed to take over the products after consulting and adjusted according to the comments and suggestions of the participants.
