The International workshop “Study Exchange on Innovative Financing Mechanisms in Support of Forest and Landscape Restoration and Payment for Ecosystem Services in Viet Nam” was held in Lam Dong on 11th Jan 2018

International workshop “Study Exchange on Innovative Financing Mechanisms in Support of Forest and Landscape Restoration and Payment for Ecosystem Services in Viet Nam” in Lam Dong

After finishing the workshop on January 9th, 2015 at the Vietnam National University of Forestry, the Cambodian participants continued to attend the workshop held in Lam Dong on 11/01/2018.

At the workshop in Lam Dong, Vietnamese participants included:
• Mr. Vo Danh Tuyen - Deputy Director of Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Rural Development
• Ms. Hoang Cong Hoai Nam - Head of Division of Forest Management and Protection & Natural Conservation
• Mr. Phan Trieu Giang - Director of Centre for People and Nature Reconciliation in Central Highlands
• Mr. Hoang Tat Duong - Director of Lam Dong Forest Protection and Development Fund
• Mr. Le Van Huong - Director of Management board of Bidoup Nui Ba National Park
• Mr. Le Thanh Thai - Director of Di Linh Forestry Company Limited
• Mr. Pham Dinh Quang - President of The Di Linh Forestry Company Limited board of directors
• Mr. Le Sy Doanh - Director of Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment

In the morning, at the Guest House of Lam Dong People's Committee, the participants shared their experiences on the following issues:
• Sharing experiences on Payment For Forest Environmental Services of Lam Dong Forest Protection and Development Fund
• Sharing experiences on Payment For Forest Environmental Services of Bidoip - Nui Ba National Park

In the afternoon, 11th Jan, 2018, at Di Linh Forestry Company Limited, participants visited and exchanged tasks on sustainable forest management (FSC) from the company leaders. During the meeting, participants discussed and shared experiences on implementation of forest environmental services payment policy and implementation of FSC activities. The session finished at 16 hours 30 minutes.
