Workshop “Consultation on interface and functions of deforestation and forest fire detection from real-time satellite images software” was organized in Gia Lai province in September 18th, 2019 and November 8th, 2019

In the process of implementing the project: "Developing software for deforestation and forest fire detection from real-time satellite images in Gia Lai province", to get the most objective comments from the units directly using software, supporting for the deforestation and forest fire detection in the province. In September 18^th, 2019 and November 8^th, 2019, Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology of Gia Lai Province organized 2 consultation workshops on the interface and functions of deforestation and forest fire detection from real-time satellite images software.
Consultation workshop is one of the important activities in the process of developing software for deforestation and forest fire detection from real-time satellite images, with the participation of many agencies in the province such as: Department of Science and Technology, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Information Technology Center - Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Forest Protection and Development Fund of Gia Lai Province, Gia Lai Provincial Department of Information and Communications, Tropical Forestry Center, Gia Lai Provincial Department of Forest Ranger, ... besides that, some big forest owners were also present such as: Kon Ka Kinh National Park, Mang Yang Protected Forest Management Board, Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve, ... and some nearby agencies.

Overview of workshop
In the workshop, experts from the Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment presented the contents related to the process of developing software for deforestation and forest fires detection, including: (1) Introduction to the software interface (Web interface and Mobile app interface) and (2) Introduction of functions and software testing results (Web version software function and Mobile version software function).

Beside the information about the software presented by the Institute of Forest Ecology and Environment. A report on forest protection management in 2018 in Gia Lai province was presented by Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Deputy of Forest Protection and Management Unit, Gia Lai Provincial Department of Forest Ranger.
