Launching workshop of bidding: Development of investment maps for communes in FMCR project area in Ha Tinh province

On the morning of September 22, 2020, at Ngan Ha Hotel, Ha Tinh Province, the FMCR CPMU collaborated with the Provincial People's Committee and the Ha Tinh PPMU and the Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment (Consultant Unit) organize a launching workshop of bidding package: Inventory, surveying in the field, updating the available forest status maps to develop the investment maps of communes in the project provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

Introducing "Guideline handbook of coastal forest database management and using", guiding the management and using of coastal forest database system including: coastal forest map system; form of statistical tables on forests and land for coastal afforestation planning, software for management and monitoring of coastal forests on Desktop and Website versions. To contribute to the management and monitoring of changes in coastal forests, responding the objectives of management, protection and coastal forests sustainable development in Viet Nam

Deploying the task: "Establishing a sustainable forest development proposal by agroforestry method and scattered plantation in the period of 2019-2025"

The proposal of sustainable forest development by agroforestry method and scattered plantation in the period of 2019-2025 approved by Dak Nong People's Committee from May 2019, with the Dak Nong Forest Protection and Development Fund as an investor and the Institute of Forest Ecology and Environment (IFEE) – Viet Nam National University of Forestry (VNUF) is an advisory. The preparatory work and fieldwork were conducted by IFEE from June 2019 in the districts of the study area with the support of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Forest Protection and Development Fund of Dak Nong.

Spatial Analysis as a Tool for Developing Provincial REDD+ Action Plans Handbook

This handbook is the product of a collaboration between the Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment – Viet Nam University of Forestry and the UN-REDD Viet Nam Phase II Programme. Phase II of the Viet Nam National Programme began implementation in 2013 building on the key achievements of the Phase I programme (2009-2012). It is designed to reduce emissions in six provinces, working with provincial, district and commune authorities, local communities and the private sector, with the objective to “enhance Viet Nam’s ability to benefit from future results-based payments for REDD+ and undertake transformational changes in the forestry sector”.
